Our commitment to you

We are committed to protecting your privacy as detailed in this Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) and we have developed this Policy so that you understand how your data may be processed. All information collected on the MoneyToolkit will be kept strictly confidential and will not be sold, leased or rented to parties outside of Moneyline.

We will not disclose your personal information to third parties not involved in delivering any services you have requested or agreed to unless obligated by law, or use it for other purposes, such as unsolicited direct marketing. A more detailed explanation of how we safeguard your personal information is described in the FAQs below.

What type of personal information does Moneyline collect and why?

When you are referred to the MoneyToolkit by your referrer, the referrer shares certain information from your loan application, these may include: your age, partnership status, number of dependents, type of housing, postcode, monthly income, amount of benefits received, and the reason for the loan application. This information, linked to a user identifier, does not include personal details at this point.

You must then sign in to the MoneyToolkit using your email address. This is to help you access and manage the support you are entitled to and connect with organisations that can help in improving your financial resilience and well-being. We also use your email address to send reminders about applying for benefits and the next actions you need to take.

Next, you are asked to provide more detailed personal information, which may include your household composition, family members’ dates of birth, and financial details. This information is necessary to calculate the support you are eligible for and to facilitate connections with organisations that can enhance your financial resilience.

This Policy details our process for handling your data, outlines your rights under GDPR, and explains how to exercise those rights.

What is our legal basis for processing personal data?

The GDPR mandates having one or more lawful reasons for using your personal information. Moneyline has a legitimate interest in processing your personal data to ensure the MoneyToolkit information is accurate and customised for you.

Does Moneyline share personal information with third parties?

Your personal information may be made available to third parties (within or outside Moneyline) providing relevant services under contract to Moneyline, such as advisers, auditors and compliance managers, IT hosting and IT maintenance providers. We will also provide your referrer with an aggregate analysis of users’ information, which does not reveal any personally identifiable data. This analysis will be used to monitor and analyse the impact of the MoneyToolkit on their customers. Your referrer may use the information solely to perform services on our behalf and for no other purpose.

We may disclose specific information upon lawful request by government authorities, law enforcement and regulatory authorities where required by law.

What safeguards are in place to protect your personal information?

We use a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information.
